The man who said "I'd rather be lucky than good" saw deeply into life. People are afraid to face how great a part of life is dependent on luck. It's scary to think so much is out of one's control. There are moments in a match when the ball hits the top of the net and for a split second it can either go forward or fall back. With a little luck it goes forward and you win. Or maybe it doesn't and you lose.

第一次看Woody Allen的電影，不知道他以往的電影是否好看，但這次絕對沒有失望。以前常覺得Woody Allen是香港瘦版許冠文，即係佢以為自己是好幽默的冷面笑像，但其實只有他自己識得笑，其他人就不知所措。看戲後覺得，這可能是我的錯覺。

Match point道出了人生最可怕的無奈---命運=人生。Woody Allen以最極端的故事發展去表達出這個令人們最不安的現實"I'd rather be lucky than good"。但現實中好運又會否長時間眷顧？而倚賴好運的人又會否因為未能正明自己的實力而耿耿於懷呢？我並不是好運的人所以我不知道。我知道的是，戲中的無奈並不只是人生與命運的矛盾，而且是慾望與慾望之間的掙扎。無奈是人生需要選擇，魚與熊掌兩者未能兼得。人需要運氣因為人需要選擇，“好運”是驅除選擇所帶來的風險。
